Ditched My Jerk Beastman, Bound a Dragon9.1

Vera endures a year of rejection from Julian, a leopard beastman who despises their contract. She asks the Guild to replace it and returns with Cedric, an unwanted dragon who has resisted three years of taming. Unlike Julian, Cedric chooses to stand beside her.

His protection changes Vera’s understanding of the arrangement from ownership towards mutual reliance. Hunters threaten the bond they have formed, and a later plot targets her unborn child. Cedric’s response brings the strength others failed to control into the defence of their family.
