A Quarter to Buy a Billionaire Dad9.4

Eight-year-old Penny is driven out into a blizzard by abusive foster parents. Among discarded rubbish, she finds a poster for a missing child. The description matches her, including a maple-leaf-shaped birthmark, offering an unexpected clue to the family she has lost.

Penny uses her last quarter to call the father named on the poster. He is a billionaire who has spent seven years searching for her. Their reunion gives Penny a route out of abuse and brings the people who mistreated her into conflict with a parent determined to protect her.
